A bit of a departure from the norm,
in that we have only just started this project, but we felt
it worth including as it will be our largest project to date.
We’re also confident of another couple to follow…..
Having already worked on a Phantom EWB (15” monitor and DVD player), Range Rover
(laptop cabinet on front seat back) for this client, when
he decided to commission a luxury private coach for himself
and his family, we were his first port of call. The base
vehicle (which he had already acquired) was a 16 seat Optare
Alero coach. Now firmly ensconced in our workshop, the entire
interior has been removed and, once the exterior paintwork
has been completed, we will start work on the interior.
The new layout will comprise a total
of eight seats, with a fridge and bar area. Bulkheads will
separate the passenger compartment from the driver’s compartment
and rear luggage area. Large flat screen displays will be
mounted on these bulkheads, so that all passengers will be
able to watch “in flight” films and satellite TV. Uprated
air conditioning will also be installed.
The interior design will follow styling
cues provided by the Rolls Royce Phantom saloon. In fact,
we will use exactly the same leather and piano black lacquer
finish as the clients existing Phantom EWB. The end result
will be a merger of features from the Phantom and a luxury
executive jet. More pictures to follow!
